Ohio police have arrested and charged a mother with child endangering after another motorist witnessed her driving while breast-feeding her baby and talking on her cellphone. I think this takes the idea of multi-tasking way-too-far.
Kettering, Ohio officer Michael Burke, says authorities used a license plate number to track down 39-year-old Genine Compton. He said the woman told them she was breast-feeding and wouldn’t let her child go hungry. Um-…so it’s sooo much better to put the child’s life at risk? ?? Right.
Burke said the real legal problem is that Compton had a child in her lap while driving, not that she was breast-feeding in public. True, however, it can also be said that the real crime here, is that the poor baby has an IDIOT for a mother.
Really, why couldn’t mom stop on the side of the road and feed her baby? And better yet, the “baby” is like TWO YEARS OLD! Whatever happened to packing some cheerios for the road?? (btw, I’ve always said when they get teeth no more t_tty!) All I have to say is good luck to this child, it sure is going to need it!
Genine Compton is looking at up to 180 days in jail and a $1,800 fine if convicted of the misdemeanor.
