Stabbing Mom DeQuita Hoefling

Conroe,TX

A 13-year-old girl is now hospitalized after her mom stabbed her as she was sleeping.  Police say DeQuita  Hoefling (40) entered her daughter’s bedroom around 1:00am and began to violently stab the child in the neck and back with a knife. Mom stabbed her daughter several times, until the teen was able to break away  and ran to her father for help. The girl’s dad rushed her to the hospital and she was treated in the emergency room for her injuries.

As for the mother, no motive was given as to why she would do such a horrible thing to her own daughter. Hoefling was later charged with aggravated murder and was put under a 500,000 bond.  (See related video at link below)

Mecklenburg County DSS recently confirmed that there was a  history of abuse in the home of Marcus Davis Jr. who police say was fatally injured and killed by his mother, Shannon Merriman (22).

Shannon was arrested 7/13 at Carolina’s medical center, where her son was hospitalized after an injury where 911 was called. She was first charged with felony child abuse.However, her son Marcus Davis Jr. died the next day-and police then got a murder warrant on her.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police say the baby was injured at home on High Meadow Drive and was in Shannon’s care on 7/10. A neighbor claimed Shannon came to her house ,

carrying the baby in her arms. She was crying ‘My baby, my baby!’ and told  911 that the baby had hit his head while playing in the kitchen.

DSS has admitted to there being concerns about abuse and neglect of little Marcus, with reports being called in about the child’s parents being on drugs,domestic violence episodes, and the child being injured due to non-accidental trauma (child abuse) back in August 2010-and now nearly a year later the baby is dead?! This didn’t have to happen to this precious little boy. Mom is jailed at Charlotte Mecklenburg County Jail, with NO BOND, where she needs to be. More on this story  can be found: WBTV.com

4-year-old Kaylen Young is dead after police say, her stepmother Ashley Jean Young (25) horribly ‘assaulted’ the little girl causing her to arrive at a local hospital clinging to life. Police went to the home of Ashley Young in response to a 911 call about an injured, unresponsive child. Paramedics found the child unconscious and with ‘suspicious marks’ on her body. Shortly after, Kaylen was life-flighted to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, in Columbus.

By that time, the little girl was showing no brain activity and her family members sadly had to make the decision to remove Kaylen from life support.  Stepmother Ashley Young was the only one home with the Kaylen when this incident took place, while her husband, (and Kaylen’s father) was at work.

Alarmingly, the investigators  say the child’s face was found ‘imprinted in the carpet in the home’, and that hair samples were taken from the home, as the scene gave hints of a violent incident taken place at the crime scene. Ashley Young was arrested and charged with murder, felonious assault and now is in jail on a $1 million bond.  She will not be getting out anytime soon Thank God.! What could a 4-year-old do to make a grown woman so angry to beat her and end up killing her? Senseless and so sad this little child is now dead at the hands of a woman her dad trusted to love and take care of.

Venette Ovilde is in jail after police found her 8-year-old daughter Christiana Glenn dead in their home. Her two other children 7-year-old Christina and 6-year-old Solomon were also discovered in the home weak, from malnutrition, with various bruises on their bodies, and healing.
fractures. Both children were so malnourished they could not even walk.
From their hospital beds the children told investigators they lived a horrible routine existence. They recalled numerous beatings at the hands of not only their mother, but mother’s roommate Myriam Janvier (also arrested). The beatings were done using open hands, cords, sticks or wood.

The children were tied to radiators in a light-less pantry, used a bucket for a toilet. At night they slept on the floor.The children were constantly hungry and were only fed some type of homemade soup.

The mother had DYFS complaints made against her 4 separate times from tips to the child abuse hotline, alleging physical abuse and neglect of her 3 children.

March 2006:neighbor reports hearing Ovilde cursing at children, followed by many stomping, bumping and fighting noises with children screaming.

January 2008:another neighbor reports that when frustrated from potty training Christiana, Ovilde beat her with a belt and  when she wet the bed. 3 months after that, another report stated ‘mom regularly beats kids and left them unattended to.

Yet each time a complaint was filed-they were determined by DYFS investigators/case works to be ‘unfounded’ and in 2008 Ovilde’s case was closed, and now police say Ovilde deprived her children of medical care and of food. This resulted in her daughter’s death, and an autopsy confirmed that the Christiana died from malnutrition and an untreated broken leg.

Were the children’s abuse related to a religious sect?

Some relatives are claiming that Ovilde’s children were mistreated and abused as a result of their mother’s following of a religious/spiritual  leader named, Emanyel Rezireksyan Kris, an obscure religious leader within the local  Haitian-American community who wears white. He is said to be the person that Ovilde and her roomate Janvier  followed. But did his teachers tell them to beat these children-break bones, withhold food to the point of death, and leave them unattended in their home? Is he the one that told these two to force the children to pray 4 times a day and have them dress in white clothing, tie them to radiators?According to friends, family and neighbors, Christiana and her brother Solomon, 6, and her sister Christina, 7, were taught by Emanyel Rezireksyon Kris, a 37-year-old self-proclaimed pastor.

An investigation is continuing to answer these questions, and the Ovilde has been charged with child endangerment, and aggravated manslaughter. Janvier is charged with endangerment too.  Rest in peace to Christiana and I pray that her surviving brother and sister are adopted into a loving home, and given the life all children should have.DYFS has some major answering to do.

Mom of 4 Orgal Opata (27) just pled guilty the death of her 2 young boys after a housefire last year. She was indicted last year for 2 cts. of murder, 4cts. exposing a child to fire, and then 3 cts. felony child abuse.. Just last Thursday, Opata pled to 2 counts of  involuntary manslaughter and 2 counts felony child abuse. Shet will spend  the next 10-13 years in prison as punishment.

What is so cruel about this case is it didn’ have to happen. This mom left her FOUR kids home alone o n a February night of last year- twice that night. She went out to a club (left the sleeping children), brought a man she met at the club home with her, then left w/the man to go off  to a hotel! 

While she was off at this hotel, a kerosene heater caused a fire in the home- her 2 children, 2yr.old Josiah and 1 yr. Gabriel were trapped inside and .The other 2 kids managed to escape the blaze.

At the hearing Opatah said that she “wants the world to know “:

Never in a million years did I think something like this would happen to my family

but she is full of it, because the local news found that she had a pattern of leaving her kids alone, one was found by a stranger wandering the streets in just a diaper, and when police went into the home. no heat, no hot water, an infant lay face down in a dirty diaper, and the 4 year old was outdoors.

This is the same mom that had a dog in the house wearing an expensive dog collar, and often took trips to the nail salon and clubs, while her children were left unattended cold and probably hungry. I HAVE ZERO SYMPATHY for her. Thank God her older sons were adopted. RIP Josiah and Gabriel.

10-year-old Kassidie Rae McMillin has now died in the Florida hospital she was rushed to, after her mom Tina Marie Foster tragically shot her, then took her own life in their home. Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office  reported that the girl couldn’t overcome  a life-threatening injury she received. Police said the mother Tina Marie Foster, shot the child then she shot herself in the head. Foster’s husband and Kassidie’s stepfather William Foster, stumbled upon the bloody scene when he returned from work, then called 911.  To read more about the story please go here.

So sad when financial trouble can lead a mother to take her child’s life and her own. I wondered if someone couldn’t have saved this child? It was also reported her mom was facing trial from embezzling thousands of dollars over 2 -3 years from her employer. God, this is so sad and tragic and senseless.

Drove kids into a New York lake

Newburgh,NY-

Police in upstate New York say that Lashonda Armstrong had all four of her children in the minivan when she  intentionally drove it into the Hudson River.

Armstrong’s 10-year-old son Lashaun managed to get himself out of the van by rolling down the power window, which was still working.

After he made it out the car, the little boy swam back to shore. A woman found him soaking wet and took him to fire station to get help.

Lashaun told the people at the station, that his  mother had just driven into the river with his brothers and sister inside. Drowned along with their mother were: Landon Pierre (5), Lance Pierre (2) and Lainaina Pierre 11 months).

Earlier, the police had been responding to a domestic dispute call at the  home about six blocks away from the river when they heard what happened, CBS reported.

Kathy and Anthony Hart, police say, offered up their 13, and 14 year olds  to older men for sexual purposes and in exchange, they got money, food, and clothing.

 The mother is said to have approached men in a local Walmart, asking if they wanted to “spend some time with”  her 2 daughters. The  father would also encourage the girls go off with these men, in order to get what he and his wife should have been providing for the kids themselves.

This is not this couple’s first trip on the sell-your-kid-rodeo, oh no. Back in 2002, the police caught Anthony Hart as he tried to sell his then 3-month -baby in a store parking lot for $3000. He was arrested,convicted and did a pitiful 2 years. Mom played the crazy/mental card in court and got off scott free back then. So who is the idiot  judge that  back the kids?  Does forced sterilization still seem like a terrible idea now? I didn’t think so.

Shout out to the state of Kentucky, You’re doing an awesome job keeping the children UNsafe at home! Wake Up!

Now, I know this one sounds just too STUPID to be true, but the Kentucky State Police can assure it is absolutely true!

On I-24 in Marshall County, Ky, police responded after several motorist called about  2 small children in the roadway. When police approached the location, they found a 2-year-old child lying on the inside edge of the Westbound lanes of the interstate. The toddler had a large cut to the back of the head.

The officers also found this lady Cynthia Palmer (29) who was walking in the median of the highway with another child. Yes, you guessed she is the children’s mother (unfortunately)  and she told the police she was traveling from Fort Campbell, TN to Ky with her kids. That’s not all. Seems she had been snorting bath salts and started to hallucinate while at the wheel.

Due to her hallucinations, she was forced to stop driving along the interstate get her kids out the vehicle,  and start carrying them across the westbound lanes of interstate 24. Palmer told the state troopers that she dropped her 2 year old on the road, and… left him there.

The troopers believe the drop by this dope of  a mom led to the toddler’s head injury and that child was taken to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville for treatment. The older child, age 5, was taken by the Tenn. social services, and hopefully neither one gets to EVER see mom again. So glad the kids weren’t killed because of this and hope for a speedy recovery for the 2 year old.
